Alexander McQueen oversized sneaker trainers review!

Hello guys,

It's been a few years since I have posted. Although, I have no excuses I have been very busy. The last time you heard from me I was studying Fashion and Clothing at college and since then I have gone on to study Visual Merchandising and now Fashion Marketing and Journalism at university. I started this blog at 17 and now I am 22, so I have a lot more experience and knowledge now than I did back then and I cannot wait to share it with you!

For my first post back (in years) I thought I'd review about something I have lusted over for a long time! Back in September I purchased my first big purchase - Alexander McQueen trainers!

For a while they were on my wishlist, I'd seen pictures on my Instagram all the time, I even saw them on Love Island 2019 (my favourite show, been hooked since season 1) and then I went to see them in person in Harvey Nichols and Selfridges and fell in love even more!

I went down to Selfridges tried them on and had the best experience, being somewhere so high-end you think you might feel a bit looked down upon but I wasn't at all. There were a few other girls trying them on around me too, which put me at ease and that persuaded me I was making the right decision! The guy that served me suggested I go down a size or two. As a size 4 I tried on a 3.5 and a 3, funnily enough they both felt them same. So I thought to be on the safe side I'll go with the 3.5.

I went on home with my purchase and took them out the box to take a snap and here they are..

I went with the white and black suede at the back. As I knew they'd go with everything in my wardrobe.

To this day I love them, get so many compliments and get them out only when it's not raining! I haven't had to clean them yet but I must admit, they are still a little big for me. I have since put an insole in but I'm still having trouble. So I'd recommend to go down 2 sizes at least or get padded insoles or the stickered heel inserts that goes around the rim of the trainer to make it more comfortable.

I love the fact they come with spare laces, a pretty little box and a bag to put the shoes in!

Highly recommend them as they go with everything and can't wait to rock them in the summer. So far I have only had the chance to wear them with jeans but coming up to SS20, I'll pop them on with a little leather jacket (faux) and 'mom' shorts or a cute little summer dress.

I do need tips on cleaning them though, so if you have any feel free to leave a comment below!

Hope you guys enjoyed my first post after a long time off.. Looking forward to writing  more in the future!
